Bank statement PDF to Excel, CSV and QBO. Checked to the cent.

Drop a bank statement PDF and get Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (QBO) or Xero files back. The PDF is read in your browser and never uploaded. Before you download, every row is checked against the running balance and the totals against the closing balance, so you can see whether anything is missing.

How it works

  1. Drop the PDF

Text-based PDFs from online banking work best. Password-protected files are opened locally once you type the password.

  2. Check the reconciliation

A badge shows whether the rows add up to the closing balance. Rows where the running balance breaks are highlighted, and you can edit any cell.

  3. Download the format you need

Excel, CSV, QBO Web Connect, OFX, Xero CSV or QuickBooks Online CSV. Long statements are split under import limits.

For bookkeepers and accountants

Client statements are sensitive, and month-end means many of them at once.

Supported banks

Banks with a dedicated parser profile. Other text-based statements go through a generic parser, and the balance check tells you whether it worked.

Banks without a Verified mark are Beta: tested on synthetic replicas of the layout, not yet on real statements. Every result is still balance-checked, so a wrong read shows up before you download.

Questions

Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is parsed by code running in your browser tab, and the file never leaves your device. You can check it yourself: open the Network tab in your browser’s developer tools while converting, or switch off Wi-Fi after the page loads and convert anyway.

How do I know the conversion is right?

Every statement is reconciled before you download: opening balance plus all credits minus all debits must equal the closing balance printed on the statement, and each row’s running balance is checked too. If something does not add up, the badge says so and the row where the balance breaks is highlighted.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

For a page or two it can work, but you have to check the totals yourself: on long statements chat assistants can skip rows or flip a sign without saying so. Many bookkeepers also cannot put client statements into a third-party chat service. Here every row is checked against the balance, nothing is uploaded, you can convert a batch at once, and you get QBO, Xero or OFX files that are ready to import.

Which formats can I export?

Excel (XLSX with a Summary sheet), CSV, QBO Web Connect for QuickBooks Online, OFX 2.2, Xero CSV and QuickBooks Online CSV. The QBO, Xero and QuickBooks Online files follow the Intuit and Xero file specifications.

My bank is not on the list. Will it work?

Often, yes. Text-based statements from other banks go through a generic parser, and the balance check shows whether it read the statement correctly. Scanned paper statements (images, no text layer) are not supported yet.

What does it cost?

Free covers 5 statements a month (15 with a free account; a file over 30 pages counts as one per 30 pages) with every export format and the balance check, one file at a time. A 7-day Pass ($12, one-off) removes the page limit and adds bulk and merge for a week. Pro is $19 a month or $149 a year for ongoing client work.
